Our Story.
Franklin Jones clients are referred through a diverse network of physicians, social workers, educators, veteran services, mental health programs, and social service organizations. Life experiences are often limited due to client struggles with health limitations, mental illness, financial disparity, PTSD, and addiction recovery. Our organization provides a friendly, supportive environment for families and individuals to come together and work towards common goals, develop friendships, and encourage each other to succeed. Volunteer opportunities are also provided for clients to share their special talents and provide community service to increase a sense of self-worth and foster individual independence.

At Franklin Jones, we strive to utilize the arts to increase self-esteem, foster independence, and promote health among the disabled and disadvantaged through the use of music, body movement, education, and socialization. The benefits of ballroom dance have long been known to improve mobility, coordination, and muscle tone from low impact aerobic movements. Increased circulation of oxygen through out the body often leads to stress reduction, lower blood pressure, and an overall improvement in organ function. Specially designed ballroom dance lesson plans are used to meet needs, challenges, and the unique, individual traits of each Franklin Jones client.
